Arts + Sciences + Invention

I do some tech projects and
art and personal fixit work as well.

I wanted to combine some of my
art thinking and some invention with
my obsession with magnifiers, and came up
with this dandy desk toy. It's pretty handy
for fine print and teeny icons and it has
architectural themes and my veined-paint
technique. A friend has a PC-controlled
machine tool at home: thus the lovely
rendition of the elliptical handle.
The lens is sliced for a nice wide view
without the bulk of the circle.

I made a bunch.
Hoping to finding some shop.
If I add a few more curios,
maybe I can do a craft table someday.

Funny how we have some similiar thinking on these things. If I had more time and money I also would spend my retirement on the road and out of a mobile road home setting up tables, meeting people, people watching and writing poetry about the experiences...life gives so freely!

We share the cooking itch as well.
Pearl has a lot of entries devoted
to things like that. Richard is
into studying people on the street.
Jessie is a student of real life.

Seems there are traits to we few
who remain online after the
ponami ebbed a bit. Different
interests, forebearance of the
ups and downs in others, curiosity.

Omni-seekers, renaissance types?
Not sure...some spirit always
exploring somehow. And not copping
a 'tude at the drop of a stitch.

Those magnifiers are almost as impressive online as they are in person!

It's hard to show the
details online... Might try
one with a white backing layer
before shooting at shops.
