and from the other end...

Something from the less-sense approach..

-------------

Each Day Lessens

eager and unharmed
on those afternoons,
it was amnesty for the disgusted
to tip toward you

perhaps life surged in your ear,
a mouth appeared two haves apart,
speaking to the carsick city within,
still a friend, told and laden
with each secret, every small contempt

de acuerdo contigo, he says she said;
and you share with the phalanx
its silent sensual shadows
but sweet mercy never comes

each day lessens
the newsprint on the skin

for some risen treasure,
to the skies when ever an instant
is tanned is touched upon

the floor-spare troves:
clean sheets and paper pads,
paragraphs as strange as
marigolds by the sickbed

all told, the card had
feet the clay touched to the day
neverward snatched
from rain's windows, for
the moist machines prevail
in lost daydreams
prevail from the shadows

glorious. what a pleasure to go thru. the health and life's fragrance and the news reports all wear off eventually.
