Hokah-Hey

As my buddy Ernie would
say. Busy but must do
some subs.
"..the dogs bark, the wagons move on.."

I like this. Yes, I must get some more in. Got a few acceptance.

A few more months of contesting,
methinks. Then in from the wastelands
of doubt. Regular Jl. submits
add up to more effort total though.
I'm thinking of doing groups more.
Easier to edit and re-purpose.
Groups break up in a contest sub...
..more intense focus.

I need to email you, the site is up. Your poem also was not chosen for this issue. If you want it in the punch again let me know. Seems they strayed from Zombies...arrows went right through humor and other undead!

my past few days are a blur!

Thanks for the news.
Consider it gone somewhere else..
if the preference is wandering or locking onto other things I would
want to watch the contents for a
while and see if I have something.
Swerve happens at all levels. There
was a contest where the judge only
chose from things on youthful
wild play. That pretty much cleared
out 99%. Wish I knew that going in!
I actually spent $$ in that case.

I'm not really sure who things work out there. I figure it is like most judging (which in my case I am not involved, I might be too partial), depends on who is involved. I once entered a cooking contest, made the final six. They said when I walked in, the five 'older' women felt I had it in the bag. Turns out the panel was all 'older' and went with comfort food and not my creative new perspective on soup LOL

It'd definitely going to be an interesting journey. To be honest I just have been writing writing writing the past few years to build up work to even send out. So much still needs to be done to my work. I just now feel confident enough...and the piece you commented on, sorry for that, I get too caught up in criticism. I value yours and JC's advise :)

When you say submit to groups??? (first comment on here)

Back to the editors- mood has so much to do with why we all pick what we pick. Bottom line...not saying logic and experience doesn't factor in...the choices for our site I feel are great, and funny how 75 % of it were experienced poets/writers.

Oh I thought I should end my 'I can't sleep' banter LOL
